Alamogordo, NM:
5/16/2008 New Station
91.1 FM, in Alamogordo is now broadcasting The Effect. This station had
previously been broadcasting our sister station, CSN
International. Now that CSN has built a new full-power station on
88.1 FM in Alamogordo, we are now broadcasting on the 91.1 FM frequency
that they have given us.
Lihue, HI (Kauai Island):
4/16/2008 On-Air
90.1 FM, in Lihue, HI is back on the air!
Cheyenne, WY:
4/18/2008 Off-Air
Our station on 88.5 FM in Cheyenne, WY will be turning off today.
Another non-affiliated station is being built on 88.7, which has
required us to move our frequency. Because this also involves FCC
approval, it will be at least 2-4 months before we can get our station
back on the air in Cheyenne. If we are able to get it back on, it would
most likely be on 89.1 FM. Thanks for your patience.
Kailua-Kona, HI (Big Island):
3/01/2008 Off-Air
The Effect will no longer be heard on 90.1 FM in Kailua-Kona, HI. A
local station has been built on the frequency that our sister network,
CSN International, had been broadcasting on. Therefore, because CSN has
been displaced, 90.1 FM will now be broadcasting CSN. There is a
possibility of getting our station back, but that won't be until March
of 2009 at the soonest, which would also depend on FCC approval. We are
very sorry to leave Kailua-Kona. We know that we have always received a
lot of great listener feedback from Kailua-Kona, from local people, and
from those who have found the station while on vacation. We look
forward to getting our station back on in about a year, if possible.
Ridgeland, MS
1/16/2008 Off-Air
We have been unsuccessful in operating on 99.3 FM in Ridgeland, MS.
This type of translator station must be fed by the audio of another
local FM station, and not by satellite. We tried to receive and
rebroadcast our signal from 90.7 in Raymond, MS, but there has proven
to be too much interference. At this point, we also are not able to
change the frequency of this station or the Raymond station, in order
to try to establish a clear signal in downtown Jackson, MS.
Missoula, MT:
4/11/2008 Off-Air
Our station in Missoula, MT is currently off-air. Previously on 90.3
FM, we are working on the details of broadcasting the Effect on 88.7 FM
in Missoula. It will most likely be sometime this Summer that our
engineers will be able to get our station back on the air, as we have
been waiting on FCC approval to make necessary changes to get our
station on 88.7FM, and our sister station, CSN International on 90.3FM.
We apologize for the prolonged outage, and thank you for your patience
as we resolve this issue.
Thank you!
