Ryan D Downs is now committed to God and proclaiming His Glory and Gospel of Jesus Christ; both to the world through the amazing opportunities and useful tools of which God has blessed Ryan, as well as locally; personally in Ryan's home state of Idaho- more specifically Southern Idaho's, Magic Valley.

Ryan's life changed rather dramatically when, as a native to California who was born and raised in Burbank, the Media Capital of the world- his Grandparents, Mom, and Aunt and Uncle moved in April of 1984, to Buhl, Idaho the Trout Capital of the World.

Ryan's Grandparents and Mom brought Ryan up in the ways of the Lord in a very loving, hard-working, Christ-honouring home while attending their local Assembly of God Church in Buhl. Literally going to every Sunday Service at Calvary, both mornings and evenings on Sundays, as well as Wednesday night Bible Studies; later turning to Wednesday's Youth Group through his teens, as Ryan moved out on his own at 21 while working for a popular airline- he declared to himself, "thank God I never have to attend church again!"

And, he didn't. For twenty years. While living as the Biblical Prodigal, Ryan had every blessing afforded upon him. Traveling the world. Acting both in film and television, living in worldly places such as Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, and Long Beach, CA before God allowed a series of events to turn him back to God. After trying to, "find himself," for seven years, and never actually losing his salvation in his twenty years lost as a prodigal, Ryan found God, or rather God touched Ryan at Grace Church in Twin Falls, ID where Ryan recommitted his life to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on the 14th of Oct, 2014.

Still acting and doing jobs such as becoming a licensed k-12 teacher, insurance agent specialist, cashier, internet technologist, phlebotomist, lab technician, and a USPS specialist, God led Ryan to his dream job of which he is so very passionate about, working with and for God and His creation at the Effect Radio Network and it's parent network, CSN Radio. God amazes Ryan multiple times every day in God's glory and wonder and teaches him many things every day, all in God's perfect timing. Ryan knows that without God that he is nothing and, as his Grandpa Pruett reminded him on one very stressful day in July of 2006, that- "Ry, the Bible; God commands us to pray without ceasing [1 Thessalonians 5:16-17]," And Ryan does just that. Praying without ceasing, relinquishing control of his life to God as well as submitting his life to God and to put his mom and others before himself and to put God first in everything. Ryan struggles with anxiety and self-doubt, but God is working on Ryan with his lovingkindness, patience and doing this all in His- God's timing. Most of all, Ryan tries his best to spread God's joy to the world.

Ryan and his Mother live in their beautiful home in Twin Falls County with their cat Raimie and their Dog, Findlay.

Ezra is the host of Facedown, heard Sunday mornings from 9-12 Mountain Time, where he teaches the Word of God chapter by chapter. He’s not a pastor, he just plays one on the radio. Ezra is also our Producer and Traffic Manager. His driving force is answering a single question: If we are saved, how then should we live?
