Why EDM Music, and why Christian EDM...

Did you know EDM is one of the most streamed music types in the world?

EDM festivals bring in 100s of 1000s of people, if not even up into the millions of people annually... with little to no Christian/Faith presence...

Did you know there are also Faith/Christian EDM shows? They are gaining popularity with artists such as Rave Jesus, and Tiki Lau, so there are safe alternatives for today's young people.

Younger generations are one of the biggest consumers of EDM, and what better way to get a message of Hope, Faith and Salvation than through CEDM.

Even worship music in some churches is moving more to be more electronic in nature, in production and instrumentation.

So much Christian EDM is on par with its secular counterparts, whereas CCM has always seemed to be a step or two behind with the sounds and composition of the music.

So what better way to be a fisher of men, than to meet the youth where they are, and with the music they are listening to, the only difference is the message in the music. Also in the Christian EDM world they would be less exposed to the negative parts of some EDM culture, such as drugs and immoral behaviors, trading that for a positive message, fellowship, and Spirit of God for that "high" they are seeking. What is better than being "high" on God? That feeling is without comparison when the Spirit comes upon you.

So Why EDM? Because to reach the people that need to hear the message of Jesus, with the modern styling and sounds of music, much like in the 80s we had Christian Rock and Metal with Petra, and then Stryper. The 90s we got grunge and punk, so we got Poor Old Lu and MxPx, Then we get to Alternative rock, so we then get Bands like Skillet and Kutless, music changes with each generation, if we want to continue to grow the Kingdom, we need to use the music to reach them. So many other artists helped shape the music scene in their generation, and we are blessed that many of them have continued or have returned to making music in the modern day.

We hope what we bring at the EDM Effect will be of good stewardship to the Kingdom of God.
